Miell Jobline is looking for a committed and experienced professional for the position Program manager in Nagykanizsa.
Our partner manufactures automotive precision fluid component solutions.

About the position:

Manage cross-functional team members working on new customer programs, development projects, internal moves of parts, design changes, and other types of projects to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with well-defined goals (performance, timing, quality, and cost).

Tasks:

  • Promote a disciplined approach to program management using APQP process and work to continually improve that process.
  • Manage all aspects of new customer programs and other assigned projects/programs to deliver products that meet customer requirements, while staying on time and within the budget.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise cross-functional team members to achieve program goals and complete their APQP deliverables on time.
  • Act as liaison with customers and suppliers on assigned programs as needed, including leading regularly scheduled project review meetings with customers to review project and deliverable status, according to the customer’s requirements and project needs.
  • Required to travel to manufacturing facilities and/or customers, which may include flying and other means of transport.
  • Responsible for coordination of engineering changes for parts, including cost evolution and timing.
  • Cooperate and support of the Italian team at the early stages of the new projects: share ideas, propose changes (till the project plan is defined).
  • Involvement on defining the machine, tools etc. which will be used for the implementation of a new project.
  • Coordinate the timing of testing, cooperate with the relevant colleagues by testing the Italian prototypes, keep informed about the progress of the testing, its timing until the final transfer and SOP.
     

Expectations:

  • Good Understanding of and practical understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO/IATF/VDA) and knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 or more years of related automotive experience preferably in engineering, manufacturing, and/or quality.
  • A curious mind, combined with proactivity, decision making and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read/interpret product drawings.
  • Leadership skills to direct cross-functional teams with a focus on meeting project goals that include meeting cost, quality, and timing targets.
  • Effective communication to all levels of our organization and externally to our customers and suppliers in the local language, but also in spoken and written English.
  • Level-headedness and an ability to prioritize tasks for self and others.
     

Travel required: Varies based on projects, customers, issues, and work location up to 25%, or more as required by the situation.
